Why Not-for-Profit

Central Valley Medical Center operates as a 501 (c) (3) Organization; and as a not-for-profit system we are committed to providing the highest care possible to help change lives, together. The communities we serve are important to us; that’s why Central Valley Medical Center makes decisions differently to provide the most effective care, with our patients as the primary focus.

As a not-for-profit health system Central Valley Medical Center is able to operate without any obligations to shareholders. This allows us to focus our efforts on the community and patient needs, and how we can take those focuses to improve our facilities, services, and care for our patients.

We are better able to offer more affordable care to those who qualify. Central Valley Medical Center’s mission is to provide sensitive and compassionate health care. As part of this mission, Central Valley Medical Center offers financial assistance through its Financial Assistance Program to patients unable to pay for emergency or medically necessary care.
