Provider Bio
Dr. Standring is excited to join the family medicine team at CVMC where
he sees patients in the outpatient clinic and rounds on them when they
are admitted to the hospital. He provides comprehensive care for the whole
family, from prenatal care to newborns to patients in their senior years.
He comes to CVMC after completing residency at Community Health Care Family
Medicine in Tacoma, Washington where he served as chief resident and was
loved by patients and colleagues alike. He received his bachelor’s
degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and his medical degree
from Touro University-California College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo,
California. He completed internship at Downey Regional Medical Center
in Downey, California.
Dr. Standring has special interest in Sports Medicine, Pediatrics, and
Obstetrics. He performs a broad range of outpatient procedures including
IUD and Nexplanon placement, circumcision, musculoskeletal injections,
osteopathic manipulation, and skin biopsy. He is certified in Suboxone
(buprenorphine) treatment for opioid-use disorders. He maintains certification
in advanced cardiovascular life support, pediatric advanced life support,
advanced trauma life support, advanced life support in obstetrics, and
neonatal resuscitation program. He speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and children, traveling, soccer,
swimming, hiking, and serving in his church and community.
