About Haley

Choosing to champion women and their health in a world that does not, was a natural decision for Dr. Shumway—one rooted in both passion and purpose. Her deep commitment to women’s health, combined with a love for surgery made Obstetrics and Gynecology the clear and only path for me.

Dr. Shumway earned my undergraduate degree from Southern Utah University, and remained in Southern Utah to complete her medical education at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in St. George. She then completed a four-year OB/GYN residency at Central Michigan University, where she navigated the demanding balance of rigorous training while also becoming a first-time mother.

Her first child was born just before graduating from medical school—six weeks before moving across the country to begin residency. Over the next four years, Dr. Shumway grew as a mother and physician, and welcomed a second child during my third year of training. Experiencing motherhood alongside her patients has offered a profound insight into the strength, complexity, and resilience of women. That experience has not only shaped the physician she is today but continues to inform the care she provides. Dr. Shumway brings this perspective—grounded in both professional expertise and personal understanding—to every patient who entrusts her with their health.
