About Brian

Brian Anderson, MD is a board-certified neurosurgeon providing advanced brain, spine, and pain-management care at Central Valley Medical Center. After more than 15 years away from Utah, Dr. Anderson is excited to return home and join CVMC full time, offering patients convenient access to specialized neurosurgical care close to home.

Born and raised on a farm in Delta, Utah, Dr. Anderson understands the importance of accessible, high-quality healthcare in rural communities. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Weber State University and attended medical school at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Pennsylvania State University in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where he was awarded two CAST fellowships in functional neurosurgery and spine surgery.

Dr. Anderson previously practiced in Quincy, Illinois, where he built a broad general neurosurgical practice. During that time, he established robotic spine and deep brain stimulation (DBS) programs and developed outreach services to bring neurosurgical care to traditionally underserved populations.

His clinical expertise includes functional neurosurgery and minimally invasive spine surgery, with a focus on restorative therapies that improve function and quality of life. Treatments he offers include robotic-assisted spine surgery, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation for chronic pain, and deep brain stimulation for conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and tremors. These advanced techniques often allow for faster recovery and reduced disruption to daily life.

Patients are seen in clinic by Dr. Anderson alongside his physician assistant, Josh, providing continuity of care, timely appointments, and individualized treatment plans. When surgery is needed, Dr. Anderson performs procedures locally at CVMC whenever possible.

In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Anderson completed a master’s degree in healthcare administration during residency, with a focus on business finance and efficiency, reflecting his commitment to delivering high-quality care in a thoughtful and sustainable way.

Dr. Anderson and his wife are parents to five children and are grateful to be back in Utah, close to family and the community they are proud to call home.
