Cardiopulmonary Therapy

This therapy is focused on both heart and lung health, combining techniques of both cardiovascular therapy with pulmonary therapy. This therapy is most often recommended for patients who have suffered a cardiac event and have difficulty breathing. It can also be valuable for helping patients recover from various cardiac and pulmonary surgeries, such as a coronary bypass or stent placement.

During this treatment, you will be supervised by a cardiopulmonary specialist who designs a unique exercise program designed to improve physical fitness without putting too much strain on your weakened heart. In time, your heart should be back in good condition and you will have learned new skills to help prevent future events.

Respiratory Therapy

A breathing disorder can impact every area of your life. Even simple things like climbing stairs or taking a walk can become difficult if you suffer from lung disease. Respiratory therapists provide treatment for patients when they have a pressing medical issue and help them learn new lifestyle habits to keep their lungs in good condition for years to come. Though many lung conditions are not curable, with proper management they can be kept under control so that they no longer prevent you from enjoying life to the fullest.
