CVMC New Year's Baby 2017

Nephi, Utah: With the birth of a new year we are celebrating with the first birth at Central Valley Medical Center! While the baby wasn’t due to arrive until February 5th, he just couldn’t wait to get here. “Having the baby come early was a surprise, but the staff at CVMC was great and took amazing care of our baby boy,” said new father Bradley Hoaldridge.

The first baby born at CVMC in 2017 was delivered by Dr. Mark Oveson, MD on January 8th at 1:03 a.m. weighing in at 6 pounds 15 ounces and 20 inches long. The new baby boy will be named Nixon and is the first child of his proud parents Bradley and Nicole Hoaldridge.

“I don’t think that there is any better way to start a new year than with a new baby to take home! In my opinion, you will never experience anything else like taking a baby home for the first time. It’s an awesome feeling, and we couldn’t be happier for the Hoaldridge family,” commented Nick Stewart, Marketing Director at Central Valley Medical Center.

Being the first to be born gives great bragging rights, but his parents and Baby Boy Nixon get to go home with some extra goodies as part of the celebration too. CVMC provides a generous $400 discount on the hospital bill for their New Year’s baby. Along with this discount, the hospital labor and delivery staff put together a generous basket full of a supply of diapers and baby wipes, formula, hand sanitizer, baby lotion, baby wash, a baby blanket, and more.

“We love being able to be part of this special time in people’s lives. Our goal is to make the time spent at CVMC the best experience possible. We make sure that all of our patients receive the highest quality of service, in the best manner possible, so they feel safe and comfortable during their stay,” said Annie Hatch, RN, Women and Newborn Service Manager at Central Valley Medical Center.

The local community also jumped in to show their support during this fun event; local businesses, which provided donations this year included: American First Credit Union, Boutique on Main, Choice Do It Best Hardware, Mid State Consultants, Movies Plus & Lotsa Motsa Pizza, Nebo-Leavitt Insurance Agency, Nephi Floral, Nephi Western Credit Union, and Sinclair Service & Car Wash. Along with The Utah Educational Savings Plan (UESP) donating a $50 savings certificate.

Congratulations to the Hoaldridge family!
